Starting at Mansfield Drive we will begin the tour talking about the ancient fish traps in the estuary. This historical context will give participants an idea of the abundance of the estuary from ancient times. We will then walk along the Riverway Walk highlighting ways groups like Project Watershed are trying to bring back that abundance through saltmarsh restoration, native plantings, invasive species removal and more. We will end the walk talking about the Kus-kus-sum Project.
