Vanier Nature Park Garry Oak Tour

Comox Valley Nature and the CV Conservation Partnership invite you to attend a free guided walk in Vanier Nature Park. Visit this important remnant of the Garry Oak forests that once covered the Tsolum River Valley. Learn about the history and significance of this ecosystem and the work being done by CVN to preserve the Garry Oaks. Find out how you can volunteer for this project.
Rain or shine, we will meet at in Comox Valley Sports Centre parking lot at 1 pm. Gather at the large Garry oak near the bridge to the high school. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy hiking shoes. Two leaders from CVN will be your guides, and Verna Mumby, a well-know arborist will accompany us.
