HURFORD HILL NATURE PARK

The Hurford Hill Nature Park was generously donated to the City of Courtenay in 1996 by long-time Valley residents Robert and Adela Smith with the intent that it be maintained as a nature park. A conservation covenant registered on the title held by the CVLT protects it in perpetuity. This 10.7-hectare park is home to many native plant and animal species, provides a critical link along the Valley View Greenway, and protects important salmon spawning and rearing habitats in Glen Urquhart Creek.

Parking is available along Hurford Avenue, Glen Urquhart Drive, and Hobson Avenue. Dogs are allowed on leash and cycling is encouraged.
